Pacific pulls away form LBSU down the stretch in Big West Conference game

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Pacific outscored Long Beach State 32-12 in the final 13 minutes en route to a 74-52 Big West Conference win over the 49ers in the Walter Pyramid Wednesday night. Pat Eveland came off the bench to lead Pacific (17-8, 9-3 BWC) with 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the floor, including 5-of-5 from 3-point range. Sam Willard added 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting as the Tigers made 53.1 percent (26-of-49) of their field goal attempts and 52.6 percent (10-of-19) of their 3-pointers. Eugene Phelps led LBSU (12-14, 6-7 BWC) with 13 points and seven boards. T.J. Robinson added 11 points for the 49ers who made just 37.5 percent (21-of-56) of their shots, 22.2 percent (4-of-18) of their 3-pointers and 40 percent (6-of-15) of their free throws.
