Nick Plosser enters his second season as Long Beach State's Director of Basketball Operations in 2017-18.
Plosser's primary duties are directing the daily operations of the Men's Basketball program, including travel, equipment, academic monitoring and video coordination. He assists the coaching staff with scouting, game preparation, and on-campus recruiting, as well as engagement with alumni and supporters of the Beach.
Following his graduation from Pacific, Plosser played for various travel teams in Taiwan, and then moved to England, where he played for the Durham Wildcats and Durham University Knights simultaneously while also completing a Master's degree in International Relations. As the team's point guard, Plosser helped the Knights reach the England Final 8 National Tournament in 2010.
Returning to the United States, Plosser worked for two years at Loyola Marymount as an Associate Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, specifically working with the Lions men's basketball program. He then made his first move into coaching, working as an assistant coach at St. Anthony High School in Long Beach where he worked with current Long Beach State big man LaRond Williams, helping lead the Saints to a league championship.
Moving on to clinic coaching, Plosser has since spent the last three years organizing basketball clinics throughout the world, spending time in India and China with a stop in Los Angeles in between while planning and conducting practice sessions and workouts for numerous players.
