Dirtbags Season-Opening Series Moved to Oklahoma
Due to weather concerns, LBSU will play a series in Oklahoma for the second straight year.
LONG BEACH, Calif. - This weekend’s season-opening Dirtbags series has been relocated from Long Beach to Norman, Okla. In an effort to avoid the record rainfall expected this weekend in Southern California, the universities have agreed to play a three-game series at Oklahoma’s L. Dale Mitchell Park for the second consecutive season.
With rain and flooding in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, it was determined that the best chance to play a full three-game series was to play in Oklahoma, where the radar is clear for the entire weekend. Scheduled start times for this weekend’s series will be 2 p.m. PT on Friday, 12 p.m. PT on Saturday and 9 a.m. PT on Sunday. Video streaming will be available with a premium subscription on SoonerSports.tv, and the games can be heard live on KBeach Radio at KBeach.org and on the KBeach app.
Dirtbags season ticket holders will be contacted regarding how this weekend’s tickets can be used. Fans with any questions should contact the Long Beach State Ticket Office at (562) 985-4949.
