The teams traded runs in the second, then KT Wiz took the lead for good with a five-run fifth inning. LBSU was able to make it a 6-4 game with a run in the bottom of the seventh, but KT Wiz scored twice in the ninth to finish off the scoring.

Long Beach State will now hit the road for a three-game series with No. 7 North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Friday night’s matchup is expected to be RHP Darren McCaughan (1-1, 4.50 ERA) against RHP J.B.
