MLB: Drafted in the 26th round of the 2004 draft by the Pirates.

LBSU 2007: Appeared in 45 games with 35 starts in his first season of Division-I, batting .234 with 21 runs and 21 RBIs... made 29 starts at third base and played six times at shortstop when Danny Espinosa was injured... drove in six runs on May 15, two away from the school-record, hitting a three-run home run, a two-run single and a sacrifice fly... also had a double as he went 4-for-5 at LMU... had three hits against the Lions on April 17... had multi-hit games against USC, at Pepperdine and at CS Fullerton as well.

Junior College: Twice earned all-conference honors... hit .327 as a sophomore shortstop with 42 runs and 21 RBIs, earning first team all-league honors... had eight doubles, a triple and five homers, slugging at a. 484 clip... also walked 29 times... as a freshman batted .314 with 26 runs and 26 RBIs, producing 11 doubles, three triples and five homers... also walked 19 times... had a .543 slugging percentage.

High School: Two-sport athlete earning three varsity letters in baseball and two in football... two-time All-Mission Valley Athletic League pick in 2003 and 2004... baseball team won the league title each season and won section title one season.

And Finally: Son of Murry and Mary Tweedy... sister, Amanda, played for the CS East Bay soccer team, while his brother, Kevin is a senior in high school... majoring in communications.
