Long Beach State (2009): Led the Dirtbag pitching staff with 14 starts ... Worked mainly as the Saturday starter for Long Beach State ... Showed great control with 42 strikeouts to just 13 walks ... Posted a 4-7 record with a 5.61 ERA ... Picked up a no decision in his first start against USC, throwing 7.0 shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out five (2/21) ... Threw 8.0 innings of one-hit ball vs. UNLV with two strikeouts and no walks (3/28) ... One out short of a complete game vs UC Riverside, going 8.2 innings while giving up one unearned run in his second win of the season (4/4) ... Earned a third win with 7.0 innings at Pacific scattering nine hits (4/26) ... High School: Skipped his senior season at Wilson HS to join LBSU a year early as he turned 18 years old in August, 2007 ... Passed his GED to finish his high school requirements prior to enrolling at LBSU ... Practiced but did not play with Wilson HS as a junior ... As a sophomore at Mayfair HS he went 6-1 with a 1.33 ERA and then played Team USA's Tournament of Stars and Junior Olympic programs and was in the Area Code Games at Blair Field ...
