Long Beach State begins Big West action at Cal Poly this weekend

The Dirtbags will start fresh in chasing a Big West Championship.

Long Beach State (2011): Backup utility player that played in the outfield, at first base and DH over 18 games ... Made seven starts ... Had a hit in his debut against Cal State Fullerton (2/20) ... Drove in a run in a 1-for-2 game during a start against USC (3/1) ... Had two sacrifice bunts against Oregon, including one that sparked a five-run bottom of the ninth rally on the way to an extra inning win (3/5) ... Went 1-for-3 against Rice while starting at first base (3/11) ... Scored his only run of the season the next day against San Francisco (3/12) ... Went 1-for-2 in a start at San Diego State (5/3) ...
