Long Beach State (2008): Appeared in 10 games as a reliever ... allowed six runs on the year ... didn't allow a run in his first six appearances on the year ... allowed six hits in 10 appearances. Junior College: Spent two seasons at Sacramento CC... went 3-3 with a 3.66 ERA in 2007 over 39.1 innings, giving up 38 hits and striking out 42 and walking 17... hit 16 batters... as a freshman, appeared in just three games, pitching 0.2 innings and giving up two runs for a 27.00 ERA... struck out one and walked none on one hit.... team finished second in the state in 2006 and won the Big 7 League in 2007, finishing fourth at state... redshirted 2005 season. High School: Earned varsity letters in 2004 and 2003 at McClatchy HS in Sacramento... named second team All-Metro Conference in 2004. Personal: Son of Jim Born and Lorra Krum ... honor roll student ... participated in the Fire Science program at McClatchy ... majoring in criminal justice. Career Highs:
