Dirtbags Picked Fifth In Big West Preseason Poll


Long Beach State was picked to finish fifth in a preseason poll of the Big West baseball coaches, which was released by the conference on Thursday. The Dirtbags are coming off a second-place season in 2014 in which they finished 34-26 overall, 17-7 in the Big West and returned to the NCAA Tournament.

Hampson Ranked Among Top Sophomores In Baseball


Reigning Big West Freshman Player of the Year Garret Hampson is one of the best sophomores in college baseball, according Perfect Game. The scouting service released its annual list of the top-100 sophomores in the country on Thursday and Hampson checked in at No. 25.
