Long Beach State's annual fundraising gala, Jewels of the Night, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. Jewels of the Night is the marquee event for generating revenue to support the more than 300 Long Beach State student-athletes in their quest to realize both their academic and athletic ambitions.

GLENDALE JC: Ran two years in cross country and track ... Finished in sixth place at state championship and was All-American in 2008 and 2009 for cross country ... 1,500-meter state champion and placed third in the state 5K in 2010 ... Helped Glendale to state championship in 2009 and finished in second in state in 2008 for cross country ... Conference champions in 2009 for track ... Recorded personal bests in the 1,500m (4:36), two-mile (10:53) and 5K (17:54).
