Long Beach State will celebrate and honor its 2011 men's and women's track & field/cross country teams' accomplishments at its annual postseason banquet on Saturday, Jan. 14, at The Grand. The awards ceremony is sponsored by Asics America.

Women's cross country receives Big West Sportsmanship Award

The Long Beach State women's cross country team received the fall sportsmanship award from Big West Conference Commissioner Dennis Farrell on Monday. The Sportsmanship Award is voted upon by the respective student-athletes in each of the Big West's 16 championship sports.
Del Toro, Reedy earn USTFCCCA all-region distinction

Long Beach State senior Rosa Del Toro and sophomore Heath Reedy earned all-region awards for cross country by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for this past weekend's performance at the NCAA West Regional at Stanford.
