Two 49ers Medal at 2014 NACAC U-23 Championships
Enriquez and Low finish among top-three in respective events
LONG BEACH - Long Beach State track & field athletes Chris Enriquez and Chris Low both came away with a medal as members of Team USA at the 2014 NACAC U-23 Championships, which were held at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops, B.C., Canada, Aug. 8-10.
The three-day event featured some of the best under-23 athletes in the world with 31 countries being represented.
Enriquez took second in the 10,000-meter run, clocking in at 31:47.77. Low was the top U.S. finisher and placed third overall in the 800m with a time of 1:48.46.
Enriquez and Low were both selected to the NACAC U-23 roster for Team USA based on their performances at the USATF Championships, which were contested June 26-29 in Sacramento. Enriquez was the top collegiate performer and finished 13th overall in the 10K, while Low was 16th overall and third among collegians in the 800m at the USATF Championships.
