Former 49er Kenneth Medwood headed to London for 2012 Olympic Games
Medwood will compete in the 400m hurdles as member of Belize Olympic Team

LONG BEACH - Former 49er Kenneth Medwood will represent Belize at the 2012 Olympic Games in London as he is set to compete in the men's 400-meter hurdles.
Medwood is one of three athletes that make up the Belize Olympic Team as announced by the Belize Olympic & Commonwealth Games Association.
Medwood will compete in the first round of the 400m hurdles on Aug. 3. If he advances, the semifinals are slated for Aug. 4 and the final is scheduled to take place on Aug. 6.
Medwood was a member of the Long Beach State track & field team for two years (2009-10) after transferring from East Los Angeles College. He was a six-time All-Big West performer and was the individual conference champion in the 400H as a senior. Medwood also garnered All-West Region honors and was a two-time national qualifier. The Los Angeles native still holds the LBSU record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 49.66.
