LONG BEACH - Senior hurdler Anastasiya Kholev was recently honored as the top undergraduate student in the department of Computer Science at Long Beach State.

Kholev was recognized at graduation as she received the Outstanding Baccalaureate Graduate in Computer Science award. She completed her degree in eight semesters with a 3.97 cumulative grade-point average. Kholev was on the President's Honor List for six semesters and received the National Student-Athlete award three times.

The Ashdad, Israel, native was also named to the Big West Spring All-Academic Team in 2009 and was a two-time Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Track & Field All-Academic selection.

On the track, Kholev was a three-time Big West qualifier in the 400-meter hurdles. She recently advanced to the finals at the conference championship meet after running a lifetime-best 63.10 in the preliminaries.
