Long Beach State Track & Field Announces Dates for 2013 Summer Throws Clinic
Clinics begin on June 24 at Jack Rose Track

LONG BEACH - Long Beach State track & field will host six weeks of open clinics for all throwing events at Jack Rose Track on the LBSU campus starting June 24.
The Long Beach State Throws Clinic will provide sequential instruction for the foundation and development in the discus, shot put, hammer, and javelin, as well as development of the Olympic lifts. Each level provides an in-depth experience on progressive drills that enable a thrower to maximize their performance. The clinics are open to any and all participants.
The clinics will be directed by 49er throws coach Cory Loebl. During his seven years at Long Beach State, Loebl has coached 35 NCAA regional qualifiers and 10 NCAA national qualifiers. Under his guidance, LBSU has also had 14 Big West individual champions, one MPSF indoor champion, 36 All-Big West performers and six NCAA All-Americans. In addition, Loebl's athletes have posted four school records and 40 performances in the all-time top-10.
