LBSU Track & Field Concludes Day One of Mountain T's Invitational

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Long Beach State track & field team finished the first day of the Mountain T's Invitational Friday at Northern Arizona University's J L Walkup Skydome.

Cameron Glasgow was the 49ers' top finisher in the men's 200m with an altitude adjusted time of 21.81. That mark ranks 10th in indoor school history. Dylan McCloskey also clocked in at 22.26, while Bryce Van Boxtel finished in 22.92 seconds. Devin Hickey (23.10) and Davon Wilson-Angel (23.25) added personal records in the 200m.

Michael Montgomery and Conner Rouse tied for fourth in the pole vault, both clearing a lifetime-best 16-01. Kody Robison also took fifth in the weight throw (52-05.5).

On the women's side, Emily Cooper led the way in the 200m at 25.24 seconds. Kayla Goosby (25.50), Jasmine Askew (25.81) and Taylor Lorack (26.08) all registered personal bests. Lorack was first in section 2, while Amber Clark (26.45) finished first in section 3.

Aundrea Yancy tied for sixth in the high jump at 5-05, and Melanie Samvalian led a quartet of 49ers in the shot put with a distance of 40-04.5.

Long Beach State concludes the Mountain T's Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 8. The first event is set to start at 10:30 a.m.
