Long Beach State's annual fundraising gala, Jewels of the Night, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. Jewels of the Night is the marquee event for generating revenue to support the more than 300 Long Beach State student-athletes in their quest to realize both their academic and athletic ambitions.

High School: Ran four years of cross country and track at Fountain Valley High School ... Track squad won the Sunset League title in 2005 and 2007 ... Also led the Barons to four consecutive cross country league championships ... Three-time first-team All-Sunset League selection ... Ranked 10th in school history in the three-mile run at 17:54.
