Jewels of the Night is the marquee event for generating revenue to support the more than 300 Long Beach State student-athletes in their quest to realize both their academic and athletic ambitions.

High School: Ran track and cross country for four years at Oak Ridge High School ... Helped the Trojans to four consecutive league championships in cross country and a sixth-place finish at state in 2007 ... Oak Ridge also won the league title in track and field in 2007 ... Received the most improved award for cross country as a senior.
