Long Beach State's annual fundraising gala, Jewels of the Night, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. Jewels of the Night is the marquee event for generating revenue to support the more than 300 Long Beach State student-athletes in their quest to realize both their academic and athletic ambitions.

2008: Conference qualifier in the 1500m and 5000m ... Finished sixth in the 1500 at the Big West championships with a lifetime-best 4:35.50 ... That mark stands as the 10th-fastest in school history.
2007: Big West qualifier in the 1500-meter run ... Established season bests in the 1500 (4:40.22) and 800 (2:20.62).
High School: Competed in cross country and track at West High School ... Cross country team finished ninth at state and won the league title ... In track, won the 800-meter league championship ... Posted bests of 5:10 in the mile, 2:18.30 in the 800m and 60.40 in the 400m.
Personal: Majoring in biology-physiology.
