Steven DeCastro notched a lifetime best in the 5000m

2012: Finished 14th in the 10000m at the Big West Championships (37:46.91) ... Runner-up in the 5000m at the Beach Classic ... Established a 5K season-best 17:44.41 at the Steve Scott Invitational ... Also competed in the 1500m and 3000m ... Ran the program's ninth-fastest indoor 5000m time at the Husky Classic (18:33.45).

2010: Advanced to the finals of the 1500-meter run at the Big West Championships ... Finished 11th overall with a time of 4:59.53 ...
