49ers Finish Competition at UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational

Adam Bianchessi wins the javelin, Michael Vaughan claims the triple jump title

2012: Named the Co-Big West Men's Freshman of the Year ... Won the conference title in the 400m ... Finished ahead of the pack in both the finals (48.05) and the prelims (47.93) ... His mark in the preliminary round was a lifetime best ... Registered three other top-10 performances on the year, placing second at the Beach Classic, third at the Big West Challenge and eighth at the Steve Scott Invitational ... Also garnered All-Big West honors as a member of the 49ers' 4x400 relay team that took second at the conference championships ... Competed primarily in the 400m during the indoor season ... Won the event at the Air Force Team Challenge ... Established a season-best 48.30 in a second-place showing at the Husky Classic ... Was also the runner-up at the UW Open Meet, while finishing 10th at the MPSF Championships.
