Long Beach State's annual fundraising gala, Jewels of the Night, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. Jewels of the Night is the marquee event for generating revenue to support the more than 300 Long Beach State student-athletes in their quest to realize both their academic and athletic ambitions.

2009: Competed in the 400-meter dash at the Big West Conference championships where he established a season-best 49.66 ... Also ran a season-low 1:58.93 for a top 20 finish in the 800m at the USC Invitational.
High School: Two-year letterwinner at Bell Gardens High School ... Earned All-Almont League honors in the 200 and 400 meter, as well as the high jump ... Selected as the team MVP in 2008 ... Also a CIF award winner ... Ran personal bests in the 200m (21.90) and 400m (49.50).
