LBSU 2008: Tabbed by Track and Field News as the favorite to win the decathlon at the 2008 NCAA Championships ... the 2008 Big West Field Athlete of the Year, taking the award for the second time ... The Big West Champion in the decathlon, scoring 7,461 points in an easy 441 point win in the decathlon ... also earned an NCAA Regionals appearance in the javelin, throwing a career high 220'10" throw at the Ben Brown Invitational ... that mark stands 24th nationally ... won the event at the Big West Championships with a toss of 217'3".

LBSU 2007: All-MPSF in the heptathlon breaking own school-record with a score of 5,363... Redshirted outdoor season... ran the 10th-fastest indoor 60m time (7.20) ... competing unattached, scored 7,871 at the Mt SAC to further cement his position as a decathlon favorite.

LBSU 2006: Outdoor All-American in the decathlon after third place showing of 7,573 points... Big West Field Athlete of the Year after winning the decathlon with a school-record 7,605 points, an All-Big West performance in the javelin (199'10") for third place and a fourth place finish in the long jump... during the season had six top-10 marks and two school-records... had the second-longest javelin in LBSU history at the NCAA Championships (219'9"), winning that stage of the decathlon... regional qualifier in the javelin, where he was 17th... won the Big West Challenge long jump with the 10th-best mark (25'0.75") in school-history... tallied a school-record 5,354 in the indoor heptathlon at the MPSF Indoors, where he was fifth, and also finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 23'2.75"... had the fifth-fastest 60m hurdle time at the NAU Quadrangular and the third-best indoor long jump (23'6") at the New Mexico Lobo Invite... earned a gold medal in the decathlon during the summer for the U.S. at the North American, Canadian and Caribbean Championships, where he established a new record for that competition.

Cerritos College: Spent two seasons at Cerritos CC, and was the only person to win back-to-back state championships in the decathlon, ranking No. 1 in the nation... established a meet record in points and was second at the junior college state championships with 41 points... also named the conference MVP as a sophomore... state champion in the long jump and javelin and conference champion in the discus, javelin and long jump... in his first season of the decathlon in 2004, he won the regional and state junior college meets, prior to Junior USATF All-American accolades.... named a Junior College All-American... this past May, he took home two top-10 finishes as the state championships; a first place finish in the decathlon (6,632) and seventh place showing in the javelin (177'3"), before finishing fourth at the Junior National Championships in June (6,685)... had best's of 24'7" in the long jump, 160'2" in the discus, 47'6" in the shot and 15.19 in the 110m hurdles.

Downey High School: Three-sport letterman at Downey High in football, basketball and track... named the team MVP all four years in track.

Personal: Son of Deanna Huitt... earned the Bill Bovee Determination Award in Fall, 2006 after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his spine in April, and already past the point to redshirt, instead went on with the above accomplishments... majoring in religious studies.
