SEATTLE - The Beach concluded competition at the 2018 MPSF Indoor Championships on Saturday at Dempsey Indoor at the University of Washington. Seven different athletes scored points for Long Beach State on day two of the competition, and the women's 4x400-meter relay matched the school record in the event, set back in 2006.

The men's team finished in 11th place with a total of 22 points on the weekend while the women's team placed 14th with a total of eight points.

LBSU had a pair of point scorers in the men's heptathlon as John Broadhead finished third with a personal-best 5,145 points in the event. He was followed by Cole Hicks who placed sixth with 4,435 points in the two-day competition.

In the field, Blair Robinson recorded a PR in the triple jump with a mark of 47-10.50. That number is good for 10th in school history and earned him a sixth-place finish in the event. On the track, Raleigh Adams took seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.13. In the 400-meter, Daniel York-Mouton ran a personal-best time of 47.53 to take seventh in the event. That time puts him into a tie for third-fastest in school history.

On the women's side, Bria Palmer was seventh in the high jump with a mark of 5-07.25. On the track, Courtne' Davis finished eighth in the 60 with a time of 7.43. Not only did the 4x400 team of Shyann Reynolds, Anaya Alexander, Tavajia Richardson and Shalee Reynolds match the school record in a time of 3:46.14, but there were some individual PR's in the 400 as well. Alexander ran a personal-best time of 56.15, Shy. Reynolds ran a 56.53 and Sha. Reynolds clocked a 56.76 in the event.

Next up on the schedule is the start of the outdoor track & field season which gets underway with the Beach Opener Mar. 2-3 at Jack Rose Track.
