49er School Days

Along with experiencing campus, each student, teacher, and guests receive free admission to a select Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Baseball, or Softball game. Click here to register or for more information.
High School Free Days
All current high school students receive free admission to all Long Beach State home events. Call (562) 985-7978 to reserve your seats. All teams are REQUIRED to register their team two (2) days prior to the event and MUST provide an up-to-date roster.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Each year, Long Beach State Athletics honors the perseverance of those who have been affected by breast cancer by proudly wearing pink on "Breast Cancer Awareness Night" at the Walter Pyramid. The event is traditionally held in conjunction with a Women's Basketball game and is used to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research.
Salute to the Services
For two days during the year, Long Beach State honors the military, fire, police, veterans and service organization personnel from the Long Beach area. Traditionally, one event is held during men's basketball season in the Walter Pyramid while the second event is held at Blair Field during a Dirtbags home game. Each event benefits the local chapter of the military-based organization Soldiers' Angels in an effort to support out active military members. All funds raised through the events go towards sending care packages to our soldiers.
Long Beach State Beach Cleanup
Each year, Long Beach State student-athletes join in the effort to keep the beaches in the city of Long Beach clean. Several times during the year, 49er student-athletes comb the beaches for trash, waste and other materials that are harmful to the environment and animal habitats. It is a collective effort to protect our city's image, ands and aquatic wildlife.
