Long Beach State filled its vacancy at the head of the department's compliance efforts with Kyle Siemer, who was hired as the department's Associate Athletics Director for Compliance in 2016.
Siemer spent four years as the Director of Compliance at Montana State in Bozeman, Mont. Acting in a very similar role to what he will perform at Long Beach State, Siemer managed the day-to-day operations of all aspects of NCAA compliance with the Bobcats, including recruiting, eligibility, financial aid, waiver and violation reporting as well as compliance education.
Participating as a student-athlete in baseball at a junior college as well as Division II St. Mary's University in Texas, Siemer ultimately earned his undergraduate degree at Colorado before moving to Illinois.
While completing his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Siemer participated in a unique experience as a Compliance Law Intern with Northern Illinois, working there for two years before moving to Montana following his graduation. Siemer went on to establish a similar program in Bozeman following his arrival, the first of its kind at Montana State.
