Brian Martin, ATC joins the Long Beach State Sports Medicine team and will be working with Men's Water Polo and Men’s Volleyball. Prior to joining the Long Beach State staff, Brian worked as an Athletic Trainer at a sports orthopaedic physical therapy clinic in Los Angeles where he worked with professional basketball, baseball, and football players, as well as elite level gymnasts for 3 years.

Brian earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Loyola Marymount University in 2014 where he had the opportunity to work with the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams as well as Swim. Brian also worked with the football team at West Los Angeles College and with the basketball, baseball, track and field, and volleyball teams at Crenshaw High School during his undergraduate career.

While at Long Beach State, Brian is working towards his Master’s of Science degree in Sports Medicine and Injury Studies.

Sophomore Natalia Munoz won the singles championship in the top flight of the UNLV Fall Invitational. Along the way Munoz picked up her first career win over a ranked opponent, defeating No. 83 Aiwen Zhu of UNLV in the semifinals, 6-1, 5-7, 7-6.
