IRVINE, Calif. - Eleven student-athletes from Long Beach State earned Big West Conference All-Academic honors for fall sports of women's volleyball, women's soccer and men's and women's cross country the league office announced today.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, complete one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically), and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contest.
Three student-athletes from women's volleyball were honored with senior Lauren Minkel and sophomores Delainey Aigner-Swesey and Haleigh Hampton. Senior Kaitlyn Gustaves, junior Alex Balcer and sophomores Camille Berg and Kelsey Wilson from women's soccer. Juniors Prism Garcia and Michelle Thompson from women's cross country and senior Matt Maldonado and sophomore Heath Reedy from men's cross country.
