Long Beach State launches "Your 49ers" marketing campaign
New promotional effort will strengthen the athletic program's presence in the region

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State Athletics has officially launched its 2011-12 marketing/promotional campaign: Your 49ers. The purpose of the Your 49ers campaign will be to further enhance and strengthen the relationships and affinity between the athletic program, University and Long Beach area community.
The success of the `I Bleed Black & Gold' campaign over the past two-plus seasons raised the attention and support surrounding 49er Athletics. The new campaign will now place a sense of ownership on every student, coach, administrator, university employee, alumnus and the community towards continuing promotion of the success, pride and commitment to the Long Beach State athletic program.
"It's important that our fans understand that they help us build an experience. This campaign should reinforce the civic pride that has been developed over the past few seasons and elevate our visibility," said Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing, Dedan Brozino.
The slogan and logo will be incorporated within all external communication, including promotional giveaways, collateral materials, websites and other modes of outreach.
"This campaign will reinforce the Long Beach State brand on a local, regional and national level," Brozino added. "We continue to improve our promotional efforts and the Your 49ers campaign assists in making progress towards transforming our brand."
