Long Beach, Calif. - Kelli Gill has officially been promoted to Director of Marketing at Long Beach State, moving into a role she has held on an interim basis since October.
Gill was hired entering the 2014-15 season as the Assistant Director of Marketing, working primarily with baseball while assisting with the everyday marketing operations.
"After conducting a national search with highly qualified candidates, Kelli Gill stood out as one that will help build meaningful relationships in the campus and Long Beach community through our marketing efforts," said Rob Clark, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations. "Our marketing team will focus on creating an engaging fan experience while increasing attendance and revenues in support of all Long Beach State student-athletes and coaches."
Tasked with improving the fan experience, as well as implementing marketing and promotions plans, Gill will be in charge all of Long Beach State's marketing efforts. Additionally, she will oversee the LBSU Band and Spirit programs, and assist in Long Beach State's social media and video outreach efforts.
"Working for the university and with student-athletes is truly rewarding, and in the time I have spent here I have learned what a truly unique place Long Beach State is," said Gill. "I'm excited to have the opportunity to continue to grow the Long Beach State Athletics brand."
A 2012 graduate of Regis University, Gill worked as a marketing and championships assistant with the Big West Conference before joining the Long Beach State athletic department.
