With just over five months remaining in the fiscal year (ending June 30), the 49er Athletic Club has announced a record pace and is projecting an increase in the Annual Fund for the fourth consecutive year. In the Fall, the 49er Athletic Club launched its ELEVATE campaign to help generate new and increased financial support for its programs.

Last year, the Annual Fund eclipsed the $1 million mark for the first time in school history thanks in large part to 52 new Director's Circle members (31% increase) and a 20% increase in 49er Athletic Club membership. Additionally, 42% of current 49er Athletic Club donors increased their gift.
The Annual Fund directly supports scholarship and operational budgets for each of Long Beach State's 19 sports programs.
"We're proud of our community and the pride that they have shown with their investment in our student-athletes and our vision," said Senior Associate Athletics Director, Bill Brady. "In order to continue winning championships and setting the standard in academics with APR in the Big West and the State of California, increased private support is of the utmost importance."
Long Beach State has won three of the past four Big West Conference Commissioner's Cups as the best athletic program in the league and has surpassed the NCAA minimum for Academic Performance Rate (APR) for five consecutive years - one of just two California schools to accomplish this in the classroom.
2012-13 49er Athletic Club gifts for the current fiscal year are due by June 30, 2013.
Donors can submit a gift in any of the following ways:
