Facilities

Named after Neil and Phyllis Barrett following a generous gift in 2010, the Barrett Athletics Administration Center houses the majority of Long Beach State's administrative staff as well as the coaching staffs for 14 of Long Beach State's 18 varsity sports.

Built in 2005, the Barrett Center consolidated Long Beach State athletic department offices between that building and the Walter Pyramid. In addition to serving as the home for the athletic director, SWA, compliance, human resources, CHAMPS/Lifeskills and the business offices, the Barrett Center also features two conference centers, a larger room that seats 108 people and is available for rental, as well as a smaller conference room that serves as the home base for LBSU athletic meetings.

The Barrett Center is also home to the coaching staffs for every sport that does not play in the Walter Pyramid, including:
  • Baseball
  • Men's and Women's Cross Country
  • Men's Golf
  • Women's Golf
  • Soccer
  • Softball
  • Tennis
  • Men's and Women's Track & Field
  • Men's and Women's Water Polo
